Since the company’s earliest days, rail training has been a key pillar of the NIS offer.

We are incredibly proud of our specialist rail training sites across the UK, underpinned by our flagship site at the City of Wolverhampton College.

We offer learners entry-level and upskilling opportunities on industry-standard facilities with a team of rail trainers who have decades of experience and knowledge in this safety-critical industry.

We take candidates who have progressed from our entry-level courses and are looking to move into the rail industry and deliver the necessary training to enable them to access safety-critical rail sites.

And we also provide a range of courses for rail workers to upskill, adapting the course structure to suit the needs of the employer, meaning learners will be able to immediately implement their new skills.

In recognition of the quality of our courses, NIS has been awarded a Silver rating by NSAR (National Skills Academy for Rail) in compliance and delivery in addition to a Gold rating for our premises.
