TRIA

Transport, Rail and Infrastructure Academy is our partnership with the City of Wolverhampton College and West Midlands Combined Authority.

TRIA’s network of sites – in Bilston, Dudley, Aston and Coventry – mean candidates have access to advanced industry-focused learning facilities, whether looking to develop entry-level or advanced skills.

The centre of the network is at the home of the City of Wolverhampton College in Bilston. This is where we proudly showcase our Plant and Rail Training Centres, giving learners access to outdoor facilities where practical training can take place, replicating the real-life working environment.

Up the road in Dudley, our TRIA facility at the landmark Black Country Innovation Manufacturing Organisation (BCIMO) building offers learners access to two kilometres of training track, an 870m tunnel and our industry-leading Signalling Academy.

In Aston, we recently opened the doors to the latest addition to the network.

As well as the classrooms, we have break-out areas for staff and learners and three different types of training track, including specialist slab track which will enable us to cater for HS2 courses.

And in Coventry, the fourth leg of the TRIA network is at the Radio Plus building in the city centre, providing learning facilities for our theory-based courses.

To complement this, a second Plant Training Centre has been established at Coventrians RFC as we cater for a forecast increase in demand in the eastern part of the West Midlands.

The investment by NIS Group, City of Wolverhampton College and the West Midlands Combined Authority gives us a region-wide base from which to deliver our training. We appreciate your support in helping ensure we can continue ‘Building Futures Together’.
